Just finished making and hanging Mardi Gras decorations with dd, Hannah!  Took these pics.  It was already getting dark, so may be a little hard to see, but thought you could get the gist.  We still have a little tree to decorate for the table in front of the large window in front room.  Will post a pic when done.

Throw Me Something, Mister!
Mardi Gras officially begins tonight with our 1st parade of the Mobile Mardi Gras Season!  This is also a great way to welcome in the more spring-like weather.  Some of my fondest memories as a child include going to the parades with my sister and parents.  The brightly colored floats, the lights, the yelling/waving to the Revelers, the bands, the moon pies, the necklaces, etc.  It also signaled that my Feb. 7th B'Day was getting close.  This year Mardi Gras is later than usual, so my B'Day actually signaled the nearness of Carnival!
I will post pics of 2 charts I received from my best friend, Kathy, for my B'Day!  I got the fabric in the mail yesterday (no LNS close by), so it's off the get my threads.  Also, I have posted pics of some of my "Charts in Waiting".  I really need to set up a schedule like several of my BB Interactive buddies did to get some of their C in W's completed!  That sounds like a good Saturday project?!?!?  Guess that's enough rambling for now.

Today is a beautiful, cold sunny day here in southern AL, where the weather changes on a daily (sometimes hourly) basis.  Most people here hate that, but I have come to love it.  If I don't like the present weather, I find comfort in the fact that it will change in a bit.  Love the weather roller coaster!
I have downloaded a few more of my finishes and WIP.  I always welcome your comments.  Thanks for stopping by!

Until next time...

Decorating for Valentine's

Our Valentine Tablescape.  My grandmother's table and chairs and lace tablecloth and the china (at least 60 yrs old!) from a old family friend.  I love having these items out and seeing them everyday.  Wonderful memories of soooo many meals at this very table.  My Grandmother also used it for her cutting table.  She was a superb seamstress!!!!

Our Valentine Tree!  Just couldn't bear to take down all of the lights, soooo my daughter and I decided to decorate our little tree for Valentine's Day.  The tree skirt is actually the tablecloth that my mom made for her 1st Valentine's Day as a married woman! I just love twinkle lights!!!

My newest Teapot Collection addition...a mini teapot by Wade of England.  It's serving size is only one cup, but too cute to pass up.

Until next time....
